I had that on my cukes pretty bad (although I didn't know what it was at the time). My first garden this year - and it was too close to the house so when the sun moved as the season got on, it was shaded, and that's when the mildew showed up. boo. But for next year I was just wondering - how did your mildew prevention go? Also, can't wait to see your sweet potatoes! I planted them too - but I didn't know they were vines! I just planted some potatoes that had sprouted in the basket, and one was a sweet potato, so, what the heck? That's my gardening mantra. :) I was quit suprised to see the vines!
